 The 8th Grade computer curriculum focuses on:

· Expanding students’ knowledge of word processing

· Exposing students to introductory/preliminary workings of Microsoft Desktop Publishing, Spreadsheets and Power Point

· Exploring the basic concepts and techniques for digital photography, photo enhancing software and web page design

8th Grade Students will be competent in:

· Continue the demonstration of word processing abilities with the use of tables, business letters and research paper.

· Differentiate between the Microsoft Office programs

· Demonstrate basic Desktop publishing terminology and functions

· Demonstrate basic spreadsheet terminology and functions.

· Demonstrate basic PowerPoint terminology and functions.

· Demonstrate basic Digital photography & photo enhancing functions

· Demonstrate basic Webpage design and functions.
