Current Events

I believe it’s very important for students to be following important current events in today’s society and world. As we study our government and constitution, it’s important to look at applications of those concepts.

 

We will be reading the news paper several times a week, focusing especially on events that are affecting our community. We will be looking at events connecting with our government and leaders in order to get a better understanding of how our government works.

 

Articles that we look at will have questions to go with them asking that students think about why that particular current event is important. Current event activities will count as homework/class work grades.
