What common thread can be found within newspapers, television, radio, magazines, and the Internet? If you guessed that all of these have advertisements, you are correct.
Everywhere you look, you can find advertisements. There are advertisements along the roadside on billboards. Television commercials advertise toothpaste, cereal, toys, clothing, and soda, just to name a few. Interrupting your favorite songs on the radio, you might hear a jingle about Subway© or Burger King©. When you socialize with your friends on AIM© or MySpace©, you will see banners scrolling across the top of your computer screen. We are submerged in advertisements every day.
