Description.
This course is a continuation of Advanced Algebra B. Successful completion of Advanced Algebra B is a must. In fact, students earning less than a B in Advanced Algebra B will be hard pressed to pass this class since you would not have sufficiently prepared yourself (feel free to prove me wrong). Topics covered in class include chapters 1 through 4 of the textbook in varying levels of detail. The class meets 5 times per week.

Objectives
1.Linear Relations and Functions.

2. System of Linear Equations and Inequalities.
3. The Nature of Graphs.
4. Polynomials and Rational Functions

Evaluation.
Evaluation consists 4-8 class exams  and a comprehensive final test. There will be 12 - 20 quizzes , a few labs/ projects, and  daily work assignments collected every day or otherwise specified by a teacher.

The quarter grade will be determined by using the following weighted average:

30 %  Daily Work
30%  Quizzes/Labs/Projects
40% Tests

The semester grade will be determined by using the following weighted average:

45% of the first quarter
45% of the second quarter
10% of the final test

The final exam is a cumulative exam.

Miscellaneous
Cheating of any kind results in failure of the class and subjects you to school
disciplinary action

No extra credit will be given to individual students.

All assignments are due at the beginning of class on the due date.

You have responsibilities as a student. You must take tests when they are scheduled, turn work in on time, and provide quality work if you expect to receive full credit for an assignment. You should attend class regularly and pay attention while you are in a class as it's not a responsibility of the teacher to cover material multiple times to students skipping classes and not paying attention during class period.
