Chernobyl

After a nuclear accident rendered the area around the Chernobyl nuclear plant in Russia uninhabitable, a few people still venture into the area.  This sites takes you on a visit to a ghost city, abandoned for nearly thirty years.  Extremely interesting.

The Fabulous Ruins of Detroit

This is a fascinating, award winning site that documents the urban decay in the Detroit area.  The photos and history of formerly stunning buildings is very thought provoking; It is one of my favorite sites.  Though not caused by a nuclear accident, it is nonetheless eerily similar to the Chernobyl link above.

Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources

The DNR website will contain information ranging from alien species like the emerald ash borer to how to find a great bike trail or campsite.

Geocaching

This site will introduce you to the sport of geocaching.  We will dabble with this fun activity using GPS units I purchased with a grant from CESA6.

The FitzGerald and Western Railroad

This site highlights the model railroad that I am building in my basement.  I really enjoy the hobby of model railroading and try to bring it into class when I can.  I hope you enjoy my efforts.
