Originally from Clear Lake, Iowa, (town where Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and other musicians died in a tragic plane crash and neighboring town to Mason/River City, IA-The Music Man) I moved to Appleton in 2001 and am in my 8^th year of teaching general music.

 

I live in Appleton with my husband, son, and boxer dog Matilda.  I enjoy singing, dancing, softball, volleyball, tennis, camping, hiking, board games, and attending Broadway musicals.

I graduated with a music education degree from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA and completed my Master’s Degree in Administration/Supervision from National-Louis University (Chicago).

 

Some of my favorite things about being a music teacher are; helping students appreciate music and its history, helping students unveil a talent they did not know they have, and hearing the beautiful music they create.
