I am a Special Education teacher for 6th and 7th grade students at Hortonville Middle School. The subjects I teach are: reading and language for the 7th graders, and reading, language, and spelling for the 6th graders. I also supervise a Help period for the students in my case load.
My classroom content greatly mirrors the content that is being taught in the regular education classes. I use the same text books and supplemental activities that the other teachers use. I modify the content to fit the individual needs of my students. I feel it is very important for my students to receive the same exposure and experiences that their peers are receiving. |
